Steelhead's founder, Jim Andersen earned his stripes as trade show event manager for 15 years before setting off to start Steelhead Productions. His mission was to re-invent how an exhibit house would serve trade show managers.
To truly do things differently, Jim knew he could not simply hire others in the industry and expect to deliver a refreshing alternative to trade show marketing. His early employment ads touted a simple "Seeking: No two alike." The result: the hand selected Steelhead team brings some of the most seasoned experience and best practices from diverse industries.
Jim began referring to the employees as Steelheaders- not so much of a label as it was a term of endearment. Before long, we began to refer to some of our customers as Steelheaders to which of course begs the question "What exactly is a Steelheader?"
We define it this way: Steelheaders are individuals who apply their talent, passion, and joy to the relentless pursuit of collective achievement.
